THE boyfriend of a "beloved" woman who was killed in a horrific road accident last week has paid tribute to her memory.

Andrew Hearn was with Nichola Tyson when she died on Tuesday March 1 after being being hit by a number vehicles on the A590 near Levens.

Nicola Tyson SUBMITTED Miss Tyson, who was originally from Millom, had been living in Kendal with Mr Hearn for almost five years.

Mr Hearn said: "Nic was only briefly in my life, just four and a half years, but in that time she showed me what love really meant.

"She gave me the courage and the confidence to be the best person I could ever be."

The former Millom School pupil has been described as a "vibrant, caring person" and a "good friend to many".

Despite moving away from Millom, Miss Tyson, 35, remained close to many people in the town but never failed to win the hearts of new friends along the way.

Mr Hearn said: "She was a lovely, kind woman who would do anything for you. She would give all the money in her pocket if you asked her to.

"She was beloved by all who knew her and treasured by many.

"She will be missed by her family - particularly her mum and dad, sister, brother, aunties and cousins - her friends and all of Table 38."

Table 38 is a bookclub that Miss Tyson was a valuable member of.

Mr Hearn said: "She loved reading, going for long walks, socialising and watching movies."

Miss Tyson had been walking from Milnthorpe in the direction of Kendal with Mr Hearn when the accident occurred.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene near Heaves Lodge, Levens, at 7.32pm on Wednesday night but Miss Tyson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family have paid tribute to Nicola saying: "Nicola was a vibrant, caring person who was full of life, fiercely loyal and a good friend to many.

"She will be sadly missed."

Mr Hearn said: "Nic has left a hole that can never be filled. I have lost my partner, my best friend and soul mate, and the best person I have ever known.

" ‘Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure’."

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at that time to contact Cumbria Police on 101 with any information.
