ACTOR Christopher Eccleston, perhaps best known for playing the ninth Doctor Who, has been filming in Cumbria for a new BBC1 drama called The A Word.
The crew was on location in Broughton yesterday, with residents given the chance to observe filming, and the former Doctor Who even took time out to meet with residents.
Resident Kathy Bartlett took a number of pictures during filming in Broughton.
The film crew is due to return to Broughton today and is also expected to visit a number of locations in and around Coniston.
