The host of ITV2’s Celebrity Juice was with a camera crew in the town on Monday May 12 2014 and is believed to have stayed over at The Chequers Hotel in Dalton.

‘Keith’ was filming for his series, Through The Keyhole.

The TV personality was seen by a number of fans in Barrow and posed for pictures.

And while production crews were desperate for the identity of the home owner to remain a secret, it was not long before rumours surfaced of Hairy Biker Dave Myers being the subject of the filming.

By late afternoon, around 100 fans had gathered outside the Strictly Come Dancing star’s house.

At one point police were called to make sure the situation remained under control.

Despite chants of “We want Keith,” the ginger moustacheod maverick did not make a further appearance.

Have your say

I'd like to say that I find Keith lemon a highly entertaining and very attractive alpha male. The fact he's bothered to come to mighty barrow makes my chest swell with pride.

Wow, Keith Lemon in Barrow. My husband Mark has been trying to get me to move to Barrow where he is from for years. I've always resisted as being from the south I've heard the A590 is the road to nowhere. well all that's changed and sounds like Barrow is on the up. In my town I'm used to seeing celebrities like Chas and Dave but now I'm snooker loopy to move to Barrow. Rabbit.
