TWO men were pulled from a burning car by a fellow motorist following a collision on the A591 in Cumbria today.

The incident, which involved one vehicle, occurred at around 6.30am near the Brettargh Holt roundabout and Low Sizergh Barn Farm Shop.

Cumbria police confirmed that after being rescued by the witness, one male suffered burns to his legs and possible fractures and was taken to Preston for hospital treatment.

Cumbria Roads Police tweeted about the incident: “Very lucky lads in a car that crashed on the A591 this morning.

“ Car left road with both occupants unconscious and instantly set on fire. Luckily for them car following stopped and dragged them both out.

“Suffered burns to their feet and hands cut owe their lives to driver who was following and pulled them to safety. #hero.”

Amazing work by the guy. It's crazy, sounds like a scene from a film.
Not everyone would have risked their life like he did.

Well done sir, (should be sir, if pointless celebs earn a knighthood, surely this does too!)
