TWO 25-year-old men have been arrested for deer poaching cases in Haverthwaite.

One male from Morecambe and another from Burnley were arrested in the early hours of this morning by the Custody Investigation Team (CIT) following a report from a member of the public in relation to men poaching deer between Risedale and Haverthwaite.

Two vehicles were involved but a second vehicle is still being searched for by police after it drove off.

The vehicle has been described as a black estate car, possibly a Ford Focus.
