A LEADING historian is set to give a lecture on a parish in south Cumbria next month.
Dr Alan Crosby will talk about Cartmel and its medieval roots during the event to be held at Cartmel Village Hall on Friday, September 1.
Widely published, Dr Crosby will discuss key themes of the area such as place names, route ways, markets and the abbey.
