A VILLAGE group has created a stunning calendar following the launch of a photo competition to raise money for a historic church.
The Cartmel Village Society launched the contest at the beginning of June and received around 100 entries, including participants from as far afield as London and Glasgow.
All the money raised will go towards the upkeep of Cartmel Priory.
The winners of the competition have now been chosen, with the 12 best images featuring in a calendar that really encapsulates the beauty of the Cumbrian village.
Overall winner Sandy Kitching, will now see her image of the Friesian Horses Cartmel Experience grace the cover and the month of August in the calendar.
