A 42-year-old has admitted downloading images of child abuse.
Russell Nicholas Van Der Beeck, of Flookburgh Road, Allithwaite
Grange, appeared before Kendal Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. (23)
He admitted one count of making 42 images of category A, 58 of category B, 329 of category C and possession of 429 images of child abuse of category A, B and C.
Images of category A are the worst level and involving penetrative sexual activity and/or images involving sexual activity with an animal or sadism.
Magistrates decided their power of sentence were insufficient and the case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court.
Van Der Beeck will be sentenced on July 22.
