HORSE riders will be taking part in a sponsored event at a South Cumbria country estate this month.
Furness Group of the Riding for the Disabled Association hosts its sponsored ride at the picturesque Holker Hall estate, at Cark, on Sunday September 23.
There are three routes, 17 miles, 10 miles and two and a half miles.
The event raises funds for putting on riding sessions and activities for children with disabilities. The sessions, held at Seaview Riding School, on Walney, help children with balance, coordination, confidence and provide lots of fun.
The closing date for entries is September 15. Late entries will incur an additional charge of £10. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Entries can be made at www.furnessrda.org.uk
