A SPECTACULAR display of botanical brilliance was on show as visitors turned out to see specialist growers display their wares.
Some of the best northern specialists and growers gathered in south Cumbria for Holker Hall’s Flower Power Fair.
It was the fifth time the Cartmel hall has held the fair.
Organiser Judy Popley said: “All the nurseries grow their own and bring a huge diversity of plants and I hand pick each participants for their high standards, selection of plants on sale and presentation and knowledge.”
An array of late summer and autumn flowering plants were on sale, while Flower Power continued to promote bee, butterfly and insect friendly plants.
The event on Sunday saw visitors don their umbrellas to keep themselves dry on a wet day south Cumbrian day as hardy souls were undeterred by the weather.
The day also Holker Hall’s food market draw crowds with local produce.
