THE emergency services dealt with a four-vehicle collision in Barrow yesterday, which resulted in one vehicle catching fire.

Cumbria police said officers, fire crews and the ambulance service were called to the incident in Abbey Road, close to the Croslands Park junction.

Police were alerted at 3.35pm and said one vehicle caught fire.

Crews from Barrow and Ulverston attended the scene, and a police spokesman said there were no serious injuries.

Have your say

First off, it was a 3 vehicle collision and second, the fire brigade took a stupidly long time to get there. By the time they got there the fire was almost about to spread to tree's!
