Four people taken to hospital after Dalton crash

FOUR people have been taken to hospital following a crash at Dalton.

dalton crash

Cumbria police said four people were checked out at hospital after a collision at Long Lane this afternoon.

The incident, involving a Vauxhall Corsa and Nissan Navara, happened before 4.15pm.

Police said the driver and three passengers from the Nissan, and the driver from the Vauxhall, were being checked out and were understood to have minor injuries.

Have your say

One of many accidents we have witnessed. We need the council to cut back the hedges and the highways to look at speed humps because a lot of traffic approaches the junction at very high speed including the quarry lorries who have previously ended up in the gardens of the houses around the junction. Prehaps the evening mail would like to take it up as a challenge to make changes for safety of the residents.

Your so right Oxo it is about time those hedges on both sides of that road were cut back. We have seen plenty of near misses at them Cross Roads when riding our bikes will something ever get done there. Also maybe Drivers should slow right down when coming up to these Crossroads from Stainton as some just speed past them Crossroads traveling along Long Lane to the top of Mill Brow.
