Fire crew rescues trapped man after crash in Barrow street

THREE vehicles were involved in a traffic accident in a Barrow street.

Police ambulance and fire crews were called to Roose Road just before 9am on Wednesday January 29 2014.

The driver of one of the vehicles had to be cut free by the fire and rescue service.

Ray Boyle, 66, of Roose Road, Barrow, said: "I heard a bang but it wasn't a loud bang.

"I never thought it was a car accident that's for sure, I thought it was just a wagon coming past a bit bumpy.

"They couldn't get him out so they removed the door.”

Police have said there does not appear to be any serious injuries at this time but one man was taken to hospital as a precaution after complaining of back pain.

Have your say

at least if it happens again theyll be able to use the resilience pump to rescue him.
