FIVE lucky Evening Mail readers won a range of prizes that helped them out with daily costs.
Malcolm Lawson, 69, from Barrow, won £100 off his fuel bill.
He said: “I feel brilliant. You enter competitions and you never expect to win. It was a complete surprise because my son had entered the wedding competition and I thought the phone call was about that but when they said I had won this I was really pleased.”
Eddie Nelson, 75, from Walney, won £50 towards his fuel.
He said: “It’s smashing. It will help me out with fuel costs – and it will wind up all my mates as well.
“It was a surprise, as I have entered the competition a few times and thought my wife had not been putting it in.”
Karen Worthington, 41, from Ulverston won £100 cash.
She said: “It felt fantastic to win. My first words were that I knew exactly what I am going to do with that money. I am going to put it towards my community project which is revamping the Little Acorns nursery in Ulverston.”
Margaret Metcalfe from Barrow won £50 towards fuel.
She said: “I don’t usually enter competitions so I was pleased to have won.”
Tammy Lamb of Askam also won £50 to go towards in the Evening Mail competition.
