Drivers warned of delays due to Barrow submarine movement

A SECTION of the sixth Astute class submarine will be moved through Barrow streets tomorrow.

BAE Systems is due to transport a section of submarine along Bridge Road in Barrow tomorrow which may cause minor disruption for local traffic.

A section of the sixth Astute class submarine, Agamemnon, will be moved from the main shipyard gate on Bridge Road to the Devonshire Dock Hall gate on North Road at around 9.15am.

The movement is due to last around 15 minutes.

There will be no disruption to parking in the area however there may be minor disruption to traffic travelling along Bridge Road for a short time.
