Driver hospitalised after A591 crash in Cumbria

ICY conditions led to a crash on the A591 in Cumbria today leaving a driver needing hospital treatment.

Emergency services were called at 8.10am following the one vehicle collision near Windermere.

Cumbria Police say the driver, a man in his early 20s, was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary by ambulance as a precaution.

The road was not closed.
