Dawn raid by Barrow police and RSPCA officers into allegations of illegal dog fighting

POLICE and RSPCA officers carried out a dawn raid on a man suspected of being involved with illegal dog fighting.

After a briefing at Barrow Police Station officers headed to Rawlinson Street where they are currently quizzing a suspect and searching the premises.

Investigators are looking into allegations that illegal dog fights have been held at Salthouse Mills.

and an incident where a lurcher was found dead with its throat slashed at Roanhead, Barrow, in February.
