POLICE have released CCTV images and family photographs of a Dalton man who has been missing for almost two weeks.

Josef Thompson, or Jo as he is also known to his friends and family, was last seen at a Tesco store on Aigburth Road in Liverpool at 11.43am on Friday November 11.

The 22-year-old lives in Aigburth, Liverpool, but regularly commutes to Huddersfield where he is at university studying for a degree in Fine Art Illustration.

There have been no confirmed sightings of Mr Thompson since that date but officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw him around the area of Elmswood Road and Rose Lane in Mossley Hill, Liverpool, on the afternoon or evening of November 11.

Police believe there is a high chance he could be in Liverpool or Huddersfield.

Mr Thompson was wearing blue trainers at the time he went as well as a black and white wool jumper with pixie hood. He also often wears a 10mm earring in his left ear lobe.

Physically, he is described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build, with a pale complexion and short black hair with brown eyes.

His mother, Clare Beach, who resides in Dalton, said: "I am close to Jo, always have been, we talk about anything and everything, his worries, his hopes, his despair, we just talk it through.

"He knows how much I love him, the coat and the shoes he was wearing I bought them for him and I know he loves them partly because of this, it worries me a little he was wearing them but also makes me feel better because he couldn’t wear them without thinking about how much I love him and would miss him."

Officers are making extensive efforts to find Mr Thompson and return him home safely.

Anyone who has any information on his whereabouts, or who has seen a male resembling him, is urged to call police on 0151 777 4814 or the 101 number.
