THE devastated owner of a motorbike which was stolen from outside his home has called for the public to help police with their investigation.
The blue and white Yamaha WR426 was taken from outside a property next to Clarence House in Dalton in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Heather Leeder, who lives with the bike's owner Gareth McClelland, said they were "so angry" the bike had been stolen.
A post on Facebook calling for the public's help has been shared more than 280 times and has resulted in a number of sightings being passed onto police.
Miss Leeder said: "We can't thank everyone enough for their help. We truly are grateful."
The bike has the registration PN02 RZO.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
