Scene: Police activity in Broughton Road, Dalton, on Thursday, June 23
A MAN from Dalton has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Timothy David Nickson, of Broughton Road in the town, was arrested on Thursday night in connection with an incident in which a man received serious injuries.
The 42-year-old is due to appear at Furness Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
Police confirmed on Friday that they had retrieved an axe from the scene - a property in Broughton Road.
A 46-year-old man was taken to Furness General Hospital with life threatening injuries sustained during the incident.
He now remains in police custody after receiving treatment from medics over the weekend.
