A TOUCHING tribute has been made to the 76-year-old woman who died after a collision in Dalton town centre.
Hilda Higgins, of Rawlinson Street, Dalton, was hit by a white van in Market Street on Thursday morning.

Her family have paid tribute to a popular woman.
They said: "The wife of Jim for over 56 years and much loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
"Hilda had lived in Dalton for over 50 years and was known to many, especially for her work as a volunteer in St Mary's Hospice Shop.
"Hilda will be sadly missed by both family and friends."
