POLICE have released a description of a man who attempted to break into a house in Dalton.
The attempted burglary happened at lunchtime on Wednesday January 11 at a property in Coronation Drive in Dalton.
The man is described as white, clean shaven with dark hair and was wearing black work trousers, and a black t-shirt with white sleeves.
When the man was challenged, he told the victim he was attempting to deliver a catalogue. He is not believed to have stolen anything.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
