BOSSES of the South Lakes Safari Zoo in Dalton have appeared in court to lodge an appeal against orders made by Barrow Borough Council.
Representatives from the zoo appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday where an official appeal was lodged against the council's order to impose two directions.
The council made a Direction Order at the beginning of the year , requiring all walkways and platforms to be closed to the public until it is lifted. The order ruled all wooden public walkways must be shut with immediate effect due to concerns about safety.
The case was adjourned until 11am on July 14 at the same court.
