A HOME-GROWN poet has been working with members of the community to create a new piece ready for the town's literary festival.
Sarah Miller attended the creative drop-in session at Dalton Library on Thursday, when residents came in their droves to offer up ideas for the new commission which will be written across shop windows.
Ms Miller said: "I am so pleased to be involved in writing the first commissioned poem for Dalton LitFest in my hometown.
"We had a great session and I will be leaving with a head full of ideas for the poem.
"To see my work, with the help of the community, across the shop windows of Dalton is so exciting.'
The next session will take place on October 7. For more information go to daltoncreatives.uk/event/fun-palaces
