A 40-YEAR-OLD Dalton woman and a 43-year-old Dalton man accused of having sex in public have appeared before magistrates.

Julie Raven, of Dale Terrace, Dalton, and David Christopher Logan, of Broughton Road, Dalton, allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse in a public place on May 27, 2016, in Barrow.

Raven and Logan both appeared before Furness Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

They both entered pleas of not guilty to committing an act of outraging public decency, contrary to common law.

The pair were granted unconditional bail and will next appear before the court in Barrow on February 13 for a trial.
