A TOWN leader will host a charity concert in Dalton to celebrate the festive season in a church filled with scores of Christmas trees.
Dalton mayor Nick Perie has arranged a night of musical performances and a raffle with prizes including a signed Manchester United football at St Mary's Church in Dalton on Friday December 9 from 7pm.
Mr Perie said: "This event is about the community coming together and a chance for all to celebrate Christmas whilst enjoying the church and the Christmas tree festival.
"All the money raised from this concert will go directly to the community and all donations, no matter how big or small to the mayor's charity will be gratefully received."
The event costs £6 for adults and is free for accompanying children with tickets available from Dalton Town Council offices.
