A DALTON man is set to be sentenced after he was found guilty of trying to use counterfeit £20 notes to the value of £300 in Barrow.
Richard David Kennedy, of Wellington Street, was convicted at trial at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday after pleading not guilty to attempting to use counterfeit currency in Barrow on November 12 of last year. The 31-year-old had tried to spend £300 in counterfeit £20 banknotes.
Kennedy was found guilty and is due to be sentenced today at the same court.
