CREATORS of a literary event are seeking aspiring writers in the hopes of penning a new piece.
Dalton LitFest has commissioned a new poem to be written by home-grown poet Sarah Miller, as part of this year's LitFest celebrations and she's requested help from the community.
To help provide inspiration, Ms Miller has asked residents to attend a drop-in workshop in Dalton library so they can share ideas and contribute to the final piece.
Once finished, the final product will be written across the town's shop windows over the festival weekend in November.
The first drop-in session will be held on Thursday, September 7 from 2pm until 4pm at the library in Dalton community centre in Nelson Steet.
You don't need to have any previous creative writing experience and you do not need to book a place.
LitFest takes place on November 3 and 4.
