Dalton school celebrates 'good' Ofsted report

PUPILS and staff at a Dalton school are celebrating after they were awarded a “good” grade from Ofsted.

Dowdales School has received high praise from inspectors, and was recognised for having “outstanding” leadership and management.

The school in Nelson Street was inspected in November, following a blitz of inspections in Cumbria.

A report found the school “provides a highly positive environment for learning” and that pupils “have a real love for learning and a mature approach in lessons”.

Have your say

Well done Dowdales! I am extremely proud that my children are a part of this wonderful school.
