Cumbrian pubs ranked among best in UK

TWO Cumbrian pubs have been listed among the best in the UK in a top travel magazine.

Conde Nast Traveller has included the Drunken Duck, in Ambleside, and the Punch Bowl, in Crosthwaite, in its list of top UK pubs with rooms.

The list includes 16 pubs stretching from Cumbria to Wiltshire and is due to be published in the March edition of the magazine.

Of the Drunken Duck the article said: “What really puts walking boots under tables here is the food, which is truly outstanding.”
