Cumbria woman airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries

A CUMBRIA woman was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling down stairs at home.
The Great North Air Ambulance transported an 89-year-old woman from Carlisle to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle on Sunday January 26.
The air ambulance crew assisted the North West Ambulance Service and said the woman had sustained life-threatening injuries.
Her condition on arrival was described as critical.
