Cumbria pupils sent home from school as severe weather forecast

PUPILS have been sent home from Millom School and any out of hours activities or meetings cancelled as a precaution.

Those living in outlying areas have been allowed to head home early as severe weather is predicted to hit the area about 4pm

Furness Academy have cancelled a student theatre trip this evening which will be rearranged for a later date.

Due to the severe weather warning Barrow Library and Walney Library closed today at 4pm
