Cumbria police appeal for witnesses to assault

POLICE in Cumbria are appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place this morning (19) at 10.15am.

A woman, aged 50, was walking along Northside cycle track in Workington when she was grabbed by a man.

The man, believed to be around 18 years old, was wearing a light navy blue coloured hoodie, which had some form of red letter or motif on.

The victim was not hurt but was left shaken and upset by the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Far Moss and Mitchell Avenue at Northside, Workington this morning and seen anyone acting suspiciously to get in contact.

Anyone with an information can ring Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to Workington Police. Alternatively they can ring Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
