Cumbria firefighters to strike Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve

CUMBRIA’S firefighters to strike over pensions on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve

Firefighters to strike over pensions in England and Wales on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve

Strikes will take place between 7pm and midnight on December 24 and 6.30pm on December 31 and 12.30am on January 1 plus 6.30am and 8.30am on January 3.

As with previous strikes, on the three dates all FBU members in England and Wales will stop work apart from those working in control centres.

Have your say

Oh yes once again & quite rightly so the fire fighters are going on strike again & I for one back & fully support them 100%.
The fire fighters are public sector employees whose wages & pensions are coming under attack from this Tory government.
Any strike against this government must be embraced by all workers as it is the only way to fight back.
In fact I think there should be a national strike of all workers for an indefinite period because I know that will work!
