Cumbria firefighters in horse rescue drama manage to free the animal

CUMBRIA fire and Rescue managed to free a horse stuck in mud in a Lindale field.

The drama happened about 4pm on Sunday 5 January.

The 26-year-old horse is now being cared for by its relived owner after it was pulled to safety by crews.

Have your say

Well done to the fireman. Has anyone questioned why a horse of that age was put in an extremely boggy field? I know the field in question and it is not suitable for horses in my opinion. Owners should think twice before putting their horses in dange and wasting the vital funds of the fire services.
