Cumbria detectives hunt man after woman sexually assaulted in a doorway.

It happened at about 3.45 am on Saturday when a local woman, aged 23, was in Lonsdale Street, Carlisle.

He is described as around 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in tall with a medium build. He had short dark hair with a tanned complexion and wearing a light T-shirt with dark denim jeans. During the incident, the man made reference to the Antalya region of Turkey.

He did speak to other people while on Lonsdale Street and walked away from the scene, passed St Pauls Church towards Spencer Street.

Anyone who saw this man in the area or spoke to him or has any information about the incident, is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101 and speak to DC David Howard at Carlisle CID.
