Crews extinguish Barrow flat blaze

FIRE crews have extinguished a Barrow flat blaze.

Crews from Barrow and Walney were called to a first floor flat in Abbotsmead Approach at 11.08pm last night.

The fire was in a bedroom of the flat. The emergency service said there was no one in the property at the time and that smoke damage was caused to the flat.

Police were requested to attend the scene.
