Crash leaves parked car stranded on side in Barrow street

A PARKED car was tipped completely over on to its side in a residential Barrow street after another car smashed into it.

A 70-year-old woman who was driving a grey Vauxhall Zafira hit two parked cars in Barrow, on Saturday night.

Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the scene in Salthouse Road at about 10.38pm.

The Vauxhall crashed into the parked Citroen Saxo which was parked in the road, tipping it on its side.

A wheel on the parked Citroen was ripped off as a result of the impact. A third car, a white Ford Fiesta, was also hit.

Officers have said there were no serious injuries.
