Congestion causing tailbacks to Barrow and Ulverston

MOTORISTS are experiencing heavy congestion on routes in Barrow and the A590 this afternoon.

Abbey Road in Barrow has busy but moving traffic inbound near the Park Avenue junction.

There is very slow traffic on the A590 County Road in both directions between Tank Square roundabout in Ulverston and the A5092 junction in Greenodd.

Have your say

Any half wit could predict this would happen when the greenodd roundabout was put in place.ulverston will be blocked every rush hour .it was bad enough before the new roundabout.if trafic has to stop in order to let out trafic coming onto the a590 from coniston greenodd then the trafic will be at a standstill in ulverston.poor ulverston its a bottle neck made worse.by fools ..

90 mins to do a 25 mile journey, hideous! Tonight's journey included the Holker mosses diversion, tailback to Greenodd due to Newland roadworks traffic lights, finished off with more roadwork traffic lights in Ulverston, not a workman to be seen! Come on, get the timing of traffic lights sorted & ease our troubled journeys, PLEASE! We've had issues since October last year!!
