Cats need homes
Published at 16:37, Wednesday, 19 September 2012
BARTY is a lovely gentle cat who is friends with everyone.
This sweet elderly cat is extremely happy thanks to some special attention from the vets.
He is enjoying his life in the Animal Welfare shelter in Barrow’s Rawlinson Street after getting treatment for bad arthritis which affects how he walks.
Barty has to have his arthritis medication every day, but as it is drops on his food and Barty loves eating that is no problem.
Barty is going to have to be on the arthritis drug for the rest of his life so Animal Welfare will happily pay for this if in return they can find a permanent and loving home for this deserving cat.
Barty would need to be in a quieter home rather than one with active small children, but this stray would give his owner plenty of love.
Valda was brought into the charity’s shelter with a broken leg which the vet unfortunately had to amputate.
This otherwise very healthy cat is on pain killers at the moment but that will soon stop.
As she is young and strong she is already well on the way to making a full recovery from the operation after just one week.
Molly is about six months old and is feeling very lost since the other cat she came in with was rehomed by Animal Welfare.
Molly is a wonderful character and, typical of a cat at this young age, she is very playful and into everything, but she is a real sweetheart and deserves a good home.
Coco is a lovely friendly cat who has been in the shelter for far too long and is desperate for a new home. Sh really has a lovely nature.
For further details or to arrange a time to visit the cats ring Animal Welfare on 01229 836955 and ask to speak to Cath or Janet.
