Bradford woman arrested on suspicion of making bomb threats in Cumbria

A 46-year-old woman from Bradford is currently in custody after being arrested on suspicion of making a hoax bomb threat at Millom Community Hospital.

She was detained by West Yorkshire Police following enquiries made by Cumbria Police into one call in Millom and two in Kendal.

It is believed that a number of calls were made to police forces and other organisations across the country reporting bombs in premises and officers are currently making enquiries to establish the number and nature of these calls.
