Boy, 11, attacked while out with friends in Barrow

An 11-year-old boy was attacked by a man in his 50s while out with friends in Barrow

The middle-aged offender grabbed the child around the throat in Barrow Indoor Market, near Duke Street, on Saturday.

After the 12.30pm attack the unknown offender described as slim and over 6ft tall, fled the scene with a female.

The victim suffered no injuries but was shaken by the incident.

Witnesses can contact Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to PC Allinson.
