THE restructuring of scientific and technical expertise has paid dividends for Oxford Instruments Analytical with a rise in turnover of more than 30 per cent.
Consolidated interim results for the half-year to September 30, 2000 showed that turnover rose to £28 million, up 32 per cent over the same period for 1999.

They include optimising the performance of Formula One racing car engines and investigating how dental implants bond in the mouth.
The success of the business followed the merger in September 1999 of the microanalysis and industrial analysis divisions of Oxford Instruments plc.
Managing director Charles Holroyd, said: "The high calibre of our staff, coupled with the expertise of our sales and technical support staff worldwide, promises an exciting and profitable future for the company."
