Millom to be hit by Copeland cuts

A CIVIC Centre in Whitehaven, Beacon museum and public toilets in Millom are all set to close in a devastating cull of services.
Christmas lights are set to be cancelled and flower displays removed across the borough by Copeland Council after being told by the government that it must slash £2.6 million from its budget by 2015.
Jamie Reed, Copeland's Labour MP, has called the moves "an act of vandalism" by the Coalition government.
Between 30 and 40 jobs could be lost and affected staff have been told.

We knew it was coming. Look at Greece..these are our austerity measures kicking in. Its gonna get a lot worse.
