Liverpool pair admit to Barrow drugs charge

TWO Liverpool males have admitted acting as drug couriers to Barrow.

Joseph Dodson and Craig O’Sullivan pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to supply heroin between July 12 and 18 of this year.

It is said that they had conspired with other unknown people.

Dodson, 20, of Green Lane, Ford, Liverpool, and O’Sullivan, 19, of Lonsdale Road, Liverpool, entered their pleas via a video link from prison at a hearing at Preston Crown Court on Friday.

Defence barrister Mr Richard Vardon told the court: “Their plea is on the basis of their involvement on that one day, coming up the night before.

They were acting as couriers on behalf of another, to deliver drugs into Barrow.

“They did so under significant pressure.”

The pair were both remanded in custody until a sentencing hearing on October 5.

Judge Robert Altham told them: “You have pleaded guilty to a serious matter.”
