Barrow students showing talent on the catwalk

BARROW Sixth Form students gave London, Paris and Milan a run for their money when they staged their own fashion show.
Family, friends and teachers filled the seats to watch the Foundation Art and Design Fashion Show and Exhibition Preview.
The extensive display consisted of the work done by students as part of their Foundation Art and Design course.
“The highlight of the evening was the ever popular fashion show featuring work by students from all the art and design courses at the college, confidently displayed by a very willing team of models,” Colin Aldred, head of art at the college said.
“The audience thoroughly enjoyed the event and showed their appreciation throughout.
“I was delighted to receive so many positive comments at the end of the show,” the teacher added.
This is the sixteenth year the college has run the Foundation Art and Design course, and although the group was not as big as in previous years, they still managed to impress.
“It has been a small group this year, but once again all the students have been successful,” Mr Aldred said.
“We have every confidence they can go on to be successful at university and in their careers in art and design."
