Barrow musicians help make pub’s weekend a hit

BARROW’S top live acts gathered together for a weekend of music.
The Tally Ho in Schneider Road held a weekend of family fun and entertainment in aid of the children’s ward and special care baby unit at Furness General Hospital.
The Tally Ho pub’s “1 Live Weekend” charity event saw 18 bands and solo artists take to the stage.
The acts included a handful of local bands and musicians, including Jumbo Jamz, Jamie Bosanko, Collie Stewart, Atlas, Coulton Brothers, State Of Reality, Ultimate Ironhorse.
Heading up the first day’s bill were indie outfit Atlas, who have long been rated as one of Furness’ finest live bands.
The charity event also featured a fun fair, a hog roast, donkey rides, face painting and stalls.
Landlord at the Tally Ho Dave Field said the exact amount of money raised hadn’t been finalised yet but the event had been a success.
