Baby animal handling workshop at Dock Museum, Bartow

BARROW Dock Museum staged a baby animal handling workshop.

Wetheriggs Animal Rescue and Conservation Centre brought a collection of baby animals to the museum on North Road, Barrow.

The animals that were brought along included chicks, rabbits and lizards.

The two-day event saw more than 400 people attending to handle the animals.

The event is designed to help children to understand how to care for a variety of animals.

The Dock Museum has held events like this for the past four years and staff say they plan to continue to offer the sessions because they are proving so popular.

Liz Critchley, organiser of the animal handling workshops and premises manager at the Dock Museum said: “Everyone really enjoyed themselves, it was a great day.

“I would like to say a big thank you to Wetheriggs Animal Rescue Centre for coming along with their adorable animals.”
