LABOUR CHAIRMAN 'KEPT IN THE DARK' OVER CORBYN RESHUFFLE

Jeremy Corbyn is facing a fresh backlash from MPs, triggered by his controversial shadow cabinet reshuffle. Labour began a new round of bitter in-fighting as the chairman of the parliamentary party strongly criticised the timing of the top level shake-up. John Cryer issued an angry letter to MPs saying he and sacked chief whip Rosie Winterton had been kept in the dark about the major transformation of Labour's front bench, despite being engaged in crunch talks with the leadership on having some of the places on the body put up for election.

All EU nationals will be allowed to remain in the UK after Brexit, according to a report. The Home Office has calculated that five in six of such migrants would be unable to be deported, according to the Daily Telegraph. More than 80% of the estimated 3.6 million EU nationals living in the UK will have permanent residency rights by the time Britain is expected to leave the EU, with the remaining 600,000 set to be offered an amnesty, the newspaper said.

WOMEN 'SHOULD BE OFFERED TESTOSTERONE TO BOOST FLAGGING SEX DRIVE'

More women should be offered testosterone on the NHS to boost their flagging sex drives, doctors suggest. Nick Panay, consultant gynaecologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said there was a need to counsel women on its possible benefits, which can also include improved energy and mood. He told family doctors attending the Royal College of GPs' conference in Harrogate: "We're not saying that female androgen replacement is a universal panacea. We're not saying it is a female Viagra. Women are, after all, much more complex creatures than men (and do not respond) to the on/off button that Viagra offers.

TRUMP: I'M SORRY FOR MY CRUDE COMMENTS - BUT IT'S JUST A DISTRACTION

Donald Trump has declared "I was wrong and I apologise" after being caught on tape making shockingly crude comments about a married woman he tried to seduce. Yet even as he did so, the Republican US presidential hopeful claimed the astonishing recording was "nothing more than a distraction" and his words were not nearly as egregious as former president Bill Clinton's marital affairs. "I've said some foolish things," he said in a taped apology posted on his Facebook page early on Saturday. "But there's a big difference between the words and actions of other people. Bill Clinton has actually abused women." STEVEN WOOLFE CAN'T LEAD UKIP AFTER STRASBOURG SCUFFLE - COLLEAGUES

Steven Woolfe is coming under pressure to abandon his Ukip leadership bid following his altercation with a fellow MEP which left the front runner in hospital. Senior party figures suggested Mr Woolfe's apparent willingness to resort to violence rendered him unfit for leadership. North West England MEP Mr Woolfe, who is recovering in hospital in Strasbourg, sought to extend the "hand of friendship" to Mike Hookem, the other MEP involved in the confrontation in the European Parliament.

"There are houses that will probably not ever be the same again or not even be there," St Augustine mayor Nancy Shaver said as battleship-grey flood water coursed through the streets of the 451-year-old city founded by the Spanish.

LEADING EXPERTS CREATE NHS 'MANIFESTO' DEMANDING RADICAL TRANSFORMATION

Leading experts have called on ministers to back the radical transformation of the NHS into a "person-based" organisation. A group of influential clinicians, academics and peers said public funding should be set aside for the overhaul, which would require a "massive increase" in local community services. The 17 authors of the NHS "manifesto" include former NHS chief executive Lord Nigel Crisp and Professor Maureen Baker, chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners. (HEALTH Manifesto) TAXMAN PROBES BBC PRESENTERS Around 100 current and former BBC presenters are being investigated for alleged tax avoidance. HMRC is examining the tax records of freelance staff at the corporation who were paid via personal service companies.
