A WOMAN has been jailed after a string of thefts.
Elisha Porter, of Middle Field, Barrow, was jailed for 70 days after committing nine thefts between August 22 and October 5.
Appearing at Furness Magistrates Court on October 6, Porter pleaded guilty to all charges.
On October 2, Porter stole toys worth £117 from Asda and toys from B&M Bargains. Three days later she stole £4 lip balm from Boots.
Porter had been on bail for five offences when the October crimes occured, including stealing a Free Sat Box from Tesco worth £170 on August 22. The following day, Porter stole baby milk formula and chill factor slushy maker, worth £28.98 from Tesco, jeans worth £42 from River Island, clothes worth £53.96 from New Look and children's schoolwear worth £58 from Marks and Spencer.
Porter was also ordered to pay £170 compensation to Tesco for the Free Sat Box.
